Education, Experience and Skills
· B.S. or M.S. degree in Arts, Science or Engineering
· Exposure to Business Analysis, Business/banking Applications and Data Security
· Ability to demonstrate a self-motivated and disciplined approach to learning and working.
· Ability to provide evidence of genuine interest in the domain of Payments (back & middle office applications)

Responsibilities

 

Responsible for:

a) managing Payment Applications in EMEA and NA. Payment applications support various groups which include but are not limited to: Internet banking, ACH payments from and to our customers done via our on line banking application,  and customer billing for our on line customers.  Prioritize business and security initiatives across all regions.  Determine work effort, cost and schedule to implement.  This position is responsible for managing the Payment Applications: gathering requirements from all stakeholders, prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, confirming appropriate quality assurance testing has been performed in order to ensure the successful implementation of projects for Payments.

 

b) supporting the JRI-A Relationship Manager for Canada Branch

The person selected to be responsible for managing our Payment Aplication will interface with our internal customers to define what needs to be accomplished via  the requirement gathering and management process, working with Finance to calculate the cost of development and support and obtain necessary  financial approvals, working with the QA resource manager to ensure proper resources are available and proper QA tests are performed, working with the development manager to ensure the correct items are being worked on and  unit tested and the right resources are in place, working with Build Managers to ensure that the scheduled build timelines are met. The candidate will be the primary contact for our internal customers - so maintaining the relationship and keeping the communication flow alive will be the priorities. One of the primary relationships to be managed is the head office in Tokyo, Japan.

 

The candidate should be able to understand the overall strategy of bank's Payments business and be able to align the IT work in the right direction. Determining the application roadmap balancing the customer needs with application architecture vision will also be a key requirement for this position..
 

Qualifications

Experience/Knowledge  Requirements

Bachelor degree in a highly accredited program from a renowned institution.  Course experience in marketing, negotiations, economics, statistics preferred.  Work-related or internship experience desirable.

Must be highly energetic, detail orientated, with excellent problem solving abilities and the ability to perform under pressure in a challenging environment in an ever evolving industry.  A hunger to learn and take on challenging opportunities contributing to the success of the team.  Must possess a highly developed sense of accountability and follow-through with an ability to effectively prioritize multiple personal tasks, projects and goals.  Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.  The ideal individual is results oriented, exhibits excellent judgment, has relentlessly high standards and an innate ability to inspire passion in others. The ability to collaborate with others, influence people and resolve conflicts is highly desired.
 
Skills  and  Special  Requirements  (heavy lifting, excessive overtime, etc.)

Occasional travel to Toronto Office (Canada)
