Who We Are

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and its subsidiaries offer a broad range of financial services centered on banking. We are also engaged in the leasing, securities, investment, mortgage securitization, venture capital and other credit related businesses. We manage risk in a prudent, proactive and professional manner, to protect our stakeholders and their interest in our business.

As we continue to grow our presence in the Americas, SMBC is looking for talent to support our business goals. We encourage ongoing professional development and the success of our employees as SMBC continues to service its clients around the globe.

What is the Opportunity?

SMBC hosts a eight-week Summer Intern Program for undergraduate students where they have the opportunity to work on teams and be exposed to significant Bank projects within their respective business units where they can support a range of deals with our clients. Participants will also be able to join internal bank-wide events, which will include learning from senior managers across different business areas. Our Interns will meet and interact with current analysts as well as with a cross-section of Bank managers and staff. At the conclusion of the program, participants will be required to prepare a final case study, which they will present to senior management.

Our Summer Intern Program is an excellent gateway to our full-time Analyst Program.
