  • Overview

    SMBC is seeking a planning person preferably with knowledge of accounting and finance and ability to understand / analyze elements of credit risk. Candidate should be able to understand department policies and contribute to plans to improve them.



    - Analyze credit portfolio and generate several kinds of portfolio reports periodically to meet the deadline as assigned by management
    - To understand contents of approved deals, discuss them with credit officers in charge and generate a report regarding the deals for senior management globally in a timely and accurate manner
    - Generate and revise department policies and procedures by understanding and assessing the impacts from new head office announcements
    - Handle general affairs matters such as systems support



    - Finance and accounting knowledge is required
    - Work experience in financial services industry is preferable
    - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required

    - Business fluency in English is required
    - Japanese language skill is preferable
    - PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel skills are required
    - Microsoft Access skill is preferable
