This position is responsible for originating new business volume by soliciting dealers/resellers/vendors and end users in information technology industry. Developing new business relationships and managing existing relationships by delivering on and exceeding source expectations throughout and after the transaction cycle, and by resolving any issues in a timely manner. The annual new business volume budget is $30MM per person. We would like to see transactions ranging $500K to $15MM in general and credit should be BB or above. Pricing target would be 195-225bps over LTS
·Providing market strategy consistent with SMFL vision, values and business philosophy to maximize number of opportunities not only achieving budgeted volume/profit target and quality of portfolio
·Originate and manage all relationships including developing new sources and maintaining relationships with existing partners
·Reviews and evaluates new opportunities for credit worthiness by using extensive credit underwriting skills and preparing credit write-ups and recommendations
·Monitor all workflow in pre-closing including preparing or assisting document checklist, pricing files for operations and legal. Coordinate KYC procedures and due diligence procedures required by SMBC and SMFL
·Audit transactions and reviewing financials to maintain high quality standard in our portfolio
·Proven ability to communicate, influence, collaborate and maintain positive mutually beneficial relationships in the syndication team and SMFL. Strong leadership is required.
.Candidate should have 10+ years information technology equipment financing experience. Strong track-record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in previous roles.
·Ability to develop new relationships (or has strong existing relationships) with technology dealers, resellers, vendors and end users.
·Strong credit and underwriting skills with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis and interpretation of the same.
·Strong familiarity with industry pricing models such as Super Trump, T-Value and Excel spreadsheet.
·Additional knowledge of different equipment types is PLUS.
·Extensive experience to handle small and mid ticket leases, loans and other banking/equipment financing services products including tax leases, synthetic leases and insurance etc are PLUS.
·Strong understanding and deep experience of information technology financing, equipment leasing and loan documentation to facilitate and lead closing and document negotiations.
