    This newly created growth position is an opportunity for a Distributed Computing Support role within the Systems Infrastructure department in Technology. You will work in a fast-paced team environment supporting our Trading floor, middle, and back office users.

    The position will be primarily located in the White Plains office, with time also being spent in the New York office.

    As first level support, you will be responsible for fielding and resolving user inquiries. You will answer, resolve, and document issues either on the phone, or during a desk side visit. You must have the ability to identify and organize problem tickets with priority, and route to the appropriate staff if needed.

    The candidate should have knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), desktops, printers, laptops, mobile devices.

    You will be responsible for creating/maintaining documentation and FAQs.

    The candidate will have ample opportunity for cross training and technical growth. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious self-starter that takes the initiative.



    Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems. The individual at this level is expected to use independence of thought, though can refer more complex issues to other experts as needed. The individual is expected to contribute to work flow or process change and redesign, and to form a strong basic understanding of the specific products or processes. May also be accountable for regular reporting or process administration.

    User Support:
    – Identify and resolve support issues.
    - Desk side support for applications
    - Log and track all user request using the Ticketing Database.
    - Setup and deploy new workstations: operating system installs, application installations, configuration and testing.
    - Provide early or late coverage (7am / 7pm)



    Experience/Knowledge Requirements:

    -Minimum seven years experience in a User Support, Systems Support, or Systems Administration role.

    -Candidate must have thorough familiarity with Windows, and Microsoft Office applications. 
    -Specific Trading Floor experience strongly preferred.



    Required Experience:


    - Installing software, patches, and updates on workstations and laptops
    - Troubleshooting and replacing hardware
    - Troubleshooting basic network, software, and printing problems
    - Managing Users and Computers through Active Directory
    - Candidate should possess a strong knowledge of networking, and an understanding of Windows registry, user administration, NTFS security, performance monitoring and reporting.


    Required Skills:
    – Excellent customer service skills
    - Strong ability to deliver on time
    – Ability to recognize and remediate issues within the internal infrastructure
    - Strong verbal and written communication skills
    - Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    - High sense of urgency as a Trading Floor environment needs to be supported
    - Good influencing, relationship and stakeholder management skills
    - Self-motivated with the ability to work within stringent timeframes
    - Strong analytical and investigation skills
    - Strong team player


    Preferred Experience:
    - Knowledge of Windows server platforms a plus
    - Experience with Market Data Applications (Bloomberg, Reuters)
    - Remote Access setup and troubleshooting via Citrix
    Skills  and  Special  Requirements  (heavy lifting, excessive overtime, etc.)

    - Installation of PCs and printers may be required.
    - Provide early or late coverage (7am  / 7pm)
    - Weekend and night work may be needed at times based on project, support, and business needs
