  • Overview

    SMBC is seeking a temporary employee for two months ( assignment can go longer) within our Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance team in Jersey City, NJ


    Review customer’s key attributes, products, and transactions (Derivatives, Loans, Leases) to ensure accurate coding at source system and verify them against contract documents
    Support to analyze the transaction scheme of loans and leases and identify the appropriate data coding
    Review the key attributes of SMBC NY Branch and SMBC non-banking subsidiaries customer’s information which has impact on regulatory reporting and assist to identify data information appropriateness
    Perform the quarterly verification process
    Coordinate training efforts by assisting to prepare educational and training materials

    Perform manual data adjustments into the regulatory reporting systems
    Assist in preparation of various meetings
    Perform tasks related to new regulatory reporting


    2~5 banking experience preferred,
    Familiarity with bank's internal control concepts,
    Knowledge of Derivatives products is preferred,
    Hands on Regulatory Reporting experience, or Loan Operation experience,
    Degree in Accounting or Finance,
    Knowledge of product i.e. loans, leases,
    Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, VBA preferred),
    Good oral and written communication skills,
    Willing to learn and positive work attitude,
    Flexibility and adaptability of changes.
